E100 Electric Scooter Battery Installation Instructions
Step 1: Safety First
Before beginning any work on your E100 electric scooter, always ensure that it is powered off and disconnected from any power source. Wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and safety glasses, to protect yourself from potential hazards.
Step 2: Locate the Battery
The battery on the E100 electric scooter is located in the deck, beneath the rubber mat. To access the battery, remove the mat by lifting it from the front edge.
Step 3: Disconnect the Battery
The battery is connected to the scooter's electrical system using two wires. Carefully disconnect these wires by pressing down on the release tabs on the connectors and pulling them apart.
Step 4: Remove the Battery
Once the wires are disconnected, gently lift the battery out of its compartment. Avoid touching the battery terminals with your bare hands, as this could cause a short circuit.
Step 5: Connect the New Battery
Take the new battery and connect it to the scooter's electrical system by inserting the wires into the connectors until they click into place. Ensure that the wires are connected to the correct terminals, with the red wire going to the positive terminal and the black wire going to the negative terminal.
Step 6: Secure the Battery
Once the battery is connected, gently place it back into its compartment and secure it using the screws.
Step 7: Replace the Mat
Replace the rubber mat over the deck, ensuring that it covers the battery compartment completely.
